I know I hate it when people post things that are out of the state for their craigslist

Don’t try and run from the police as they’ll be able to track you across the world....easily.

I know exactly how I feel about it; if anyone ever drives those on a road they should be fined the entire cost it would take to repair the damage.

Fucking lunatic.

Are you trying to decide between “good” and “really good?"

They’re definitely NOT for road use.

What’s not to love? They’re ice racing tires. If they were closer to me (and if I had 15" wheels on hand...) I’d probably consider picking them up. It’s a lot of work to make a set.

I’m honestly just kind of impressed. How long did they spend doing this?

I know they’re specifically listed as racing tires, I just hope they stay that way is all I’m saying.

Yeah, and you have to bring an compressor, because someone always takes a tire off a rim.

I can’t imagine the number of beers it’d take to get through a set of tires.

There are several impressive things here. First, those screws are black oxide from the factory. That means these have been lightly used once, successfully. Further, the head on the inside is a hex head, and the shaft has a captive washer. There’s no way of running a tube like there might be with some kind of allen head of low profile bolt, and each and every screw had to be individually sealed with some care - probably silicone. Slime wouldn’t take care of it all. Finally, there’s no way the screws were able to self-bore, so each and every hole was hand drilled. Through the rubber *AND BELTS*. For the amount of extra fuckery that has to have added, they could have bought a new set of shitty bias plies to put the screws through, probably.

Yeah. Drilling a hole through a tire is not fun.

I’m estimating based on the pic 180 screws per tire. For a set of four, 720 3/8" holes. Was PCP and/or meth involved? He can’t have just been drunk, because the holes are way too methodically laid out.

Assume he spent at least 15 seconds (optimistic) on each hole on average, moving the wheel in its jig, etc., that’s three hours flat just spent running the drill non-stop. Add twice that much time installing the fasteners and sealing them. He could easily with breaks have required far more. Making the jig, setting it up, swapping the tires, probably spending about $40 on drill bits or equivalent time regrinding, swapping bits, and then maybe $30 of fasteners, $30 of sealant... there’s no way he got out of this in under two whole days and a hundred dollars in supplies not counting the tires, which are now worthless for anything else. Call the tires $150, which means what was probably three whole days for which he is now hoping to get $50. Wait, I’m getting a call here. A Mr. “Adam Smith”? Yeah, Mr. Smith says you’re a moron, and that even Karl Marx ain’t touching this.
